My pastels reflect my interest in diverse subjects, from still lifes, figurative work to landscapes. I enjoy working in various series as this gives me the opportunity to really explore an area of interest. I developed my Leaf Pattern Series because of my concern for the rainforests. I spent countless hours studying fruits, vegetables and flowers for my Orchard, Garden and Vineyard Series.

My paintings have won numerous awards in national and international exhibitions. I am a member of many art organizations including The Pastel Society of North Carolina, the Degas Pastel Society and became a PSA member in 1982. I was awarded the title of Master Pastelist in 2000. I am included in Who’s Who in American Art and my work has been published in The Best of Pastels, Portrait Inspirations, and Floral Inspirations by Rockport Publishers. I was featured in Pratique Des Arts in France in 2010 and was also included in the 2017 issue. My paintings are in numerous private and public collections such as Glaxo, RJR Tobacco, Steelcase, Sheraton and Hilton Hotels, Lowe’s Companies and Duke University.
