Patricia Tribastone is a nationally recognized artist painting primarily in oil and pastel. She has been in many national exhibitions, and is a Master Signature member of the Pastel Society of America, a Signature member and President of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, a juried member of the International Guild of Realism and the Salmagundi Club of New York City, an associate member of the Oil Painters of America, a Signature Member of the American Women Artists, and a member of the Adirondack Pastel Society. Most recently she has two paintings accepted as finalists in the Art Renewal Center’s 15th Salon Show. She has also won many national awards, including Best of Show at the Northeast National Pastel Exhibit in Old Forge, NY, Awards of Excellence and Merit from the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society; The Dianne Bernhard Gold Medal award at the Pastel Society of America (2013), first place in the Oil Division at the Hilton Head Biennial (2013), and the Masters Circle award from the International Association of Pastel Societies. She has been published in the June 2016 and the February 2014 issues of the Pastel Journal, the American Artist Magazine with a feature article and cover on the January 2010 issue, “Pastel Essentials”, an e-magazine published by American Artist (2011), and was featured in the Fall 2011 issue of “American Artist Guide to Floral Painting”. Pat has juried art exhibitions both on the local and national level.
Most of Patricia’s paintings depict still lifes and are done in a representational style. Her bold use of color and light are distinguishing factors in her work. She devotes herself to her art full-time, and maintains a gallery/studio in downtown Canandaigua, New York. Patricia is also represented also by the Oxford Gallery in Rochester, NY and Gallery 3040 in Old Forge, NY
Patricia taught at the Art Stop in Webster/Penfield from 2004-2016, and has also demonstrated and taught workshops in Pennsylvania, Old Forge, Buffalo, Yates County Arts Council, East Aurora, Kenmore, Sackets Harbor and Glens Falls, NY as well as locally at the Pat Rini-Rohrer Gallery, the Rochester Art Club and The Art Store in Rochester, NY.
