Julie Hopkins is an award-winning pastelist, oil painter and printmaker living in the Hudson Valley of New York State. She holds the Master Pastelist designation from the Pastel Society of America, is a Signature Member of the Connecticut Pastel Society, and an Elected Artist Member of Salmagundi Club of New York, Audubon Artists of America and Allied Artists of America. Julie’s works are included in private collections in England, Canada, Australia, Mexico and throughout the US; two of her monoprints were recently acquired by the Salmagundi Club of New York for its permanent collection.
Julie’s pastel paintings have been featured in Pastel Journal Magazine’s 12th Annual Pastel 100 Competition as well as the books Best of America: Pastel Artists (Best of Artists & Artisans series/Kennedy Publishing, 2009) and Art Journey Abstract Painting: A Celebration of Contemporary Art (North Light/IMPACT Books/F&W Publishing, 2017). She is included in 2019’s Who’s Who In American Art; her work may be seen in several East Coast galleries.
