Committed to representational art, Claudia Seymour uses light and color to emphasize the beauty in both everyday and rare and antique objects. She paints her vibrant still lifes and florals in both oil and pastel. A distinguished member of numerous art organizations, Claudia is President Emerita of the historic Salmagundi Club in New York, where she spear-headed its renaissance as an important voice in realist American art. Having won numerous medals and awards for her art, Claudia has attained Signature Status in American Women Artists, Master Pastellist status in the Pastel Society of America, and is recognized as a member of the Master Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies.
