Isabelle V. Lim

Biography

Isabelle is a Singaporean.  Born and grew up in Thailand, having been moving around many countries in Asia and travel extensively, she is now living and painting in Hong Kong. 

 

She has diverse painting subjects as the travels give an exposure to many realms of cultures and people.  The colourful paintings speak about her sensitivity to capture the story of each subject chosen to be painted.

 

Isabelle completed the painting correspondence course with Open College of the Arts, U.K. ( under tutelage of Edward Phelps ).   Vermont Studio Center, U.S.A. granted her the International Artist Residency Fellowship in 2001 and 2008.

 

She exhibits in Asia and juried shows in U.S.A.    In 2008, her pastel painting, A Journey West #2 won Joyce Kelly Memorial Purchase Award hosted by Degas Pastel Society.

 

Isabelle is a Signature Member of Pastel Society of America;  Active Juried Member of Degas Pastel Society; Vermont Pastel Society and National Watercolor Society.
