Debby LaFogg-Docherty

Biography

Debby La Fogg-Docherty grew up on a farm in Connecticut, which contributed to her interest in nature. She spent many hours observing wild life and has been painting ever since.

After graduating from college with a Illustration and Commercial Art major she embarked upon a successful career as a fine artist, graphic artist and page designer.

Debby's design experience, coupled with her technical ability as a fine artist, has enabled her to create exceptionally detailed wild life art. She is currently a Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society and a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America.

Debby's work has been in shows around the country, in area galleries and outdoor venues where she has received many awards.

Debby has done work for The National Key Deer Refuge and The Symphony of the Americas. In addition her work has been published in many local periodicals. Currently, she is illustrating children's book and publishing limited edition prints of her work.
She has a deep admiration for nature, which is evident in every painting she creates. Debby is able to capture her subject's essence with intensity. Just look into the eyes of the animals she paints.
