Biography Christine Frazer is a portrait and figure painter who works primarily in pastel. She studied portrait painting at The Art League, Alexandria, Va., with Danni Dawson, well-known figure and portrait painter, and Diane Tesler, a portrait and still-life painter. She has taken portraiture workshops with: Daniel Greene of the Art Students League, Burt Silverman of New York City, Albert Handel, and Bob Gerbracht. Her awards include a Best-in-Show from the Rehoboth Art League, Rehoboth, Del., an award from the Pastel Society of America (Maryland Pastel Society Show, Baltimore, Md.), "Best Drawing" award at a Sarasota Art Center show, 1998; third place in "Face and Form," Venice Art Center, 1998; and Third Place, Sarasota Art Center, 2002. She is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland, St. Mary's City, Md., and holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware, Newark, Del. She also received a graduate certificate in public relations from The American University, Washington, D.C. A former public affairs officer with the federal government in Washington, D.C., she lives in Sarasota, Fla. |
