Biography

Diana De Santis’ pastels were included in The Best Of Pastel 1998 & The Best Of Pastel 1996 editions and Pastel Impressions1997 by Rockport Publishers. Her articles have appeared in the Pastel Journal in 2013, 2008 and 2004, in American Artist magazine in 2006 and 1997. She was the featured artist in Verbania, Italy in 2005. Her landscape paintings were on exhibit in a group exhibition at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia. One of Diana`s portraits was in a five year Smith Kramer traveling exhibition shown in fourteen museums nationally. Her commissioned portrait of Augusta Gulden, the mustard heiress, hangs in the Gulden Memorial Pavilion in Southside Hospital, Bayshore, N.Y.

Diana is an official Coast Guard artist. Her biography is listed in Who`s Who In American Art. She has had ten solo shows and received fifteen gold medals and over 250 awards in national exhibitions. Among her prominent awards are the Society of Illustrators’s The Norman Rockwell Museum Award and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club’s Anne Hyatt Huntington Bronze Horse`s Head Award.
